We had 7 riders at the start and met one rider on the road. Sabastian rode from Canton and met us on the road. That morning felt like all the rest. It was cold and a little uncomfortable but better than freezing temperatures. I think most of us had close to the same amount of layers as we’ve had throughout the winter which was a little disheartening.   On the bright side, it was a bright sunny day. Because most of the route was sheltered from the wind, we didn’t feel the full impact. We knew the wind was there and only had less than a minute of tailwind.

We had 3 riders to start and all of us seemed to have had sore legs from previous rides. As for me, my legs never warmed up and I did not feel like riding at all. I wanted to turn back after 1 mile (and should have). It was windy but I would have been suffering regardless. We decided to make it a short day since it was Easter and we weren’t too motivated to be on the road all day.
