Like last year, it was strange to see clean roads, free of salt, and no leftover snow on the first ride of the series. It was hard to dress for this weather since we are so use to wearing our entire wardrobe at this time of year.  I started out with regular gloves but switched to full fingered gloves.  It was one of those days that you could have worn regular gloves.  It was very windy and the legs were complaining on the way out.  We decided to turn around at Oberlin and it felt a little better on the return.  Overall, it was a very good day.

Weather Conditions

The temperature was very nice for December. Normally we would have been battling cold temperatures but…  The SW winds didn’t help much going out but the return was better.

It was nice to see so many riders in December. There were 11 riders at the start.  Tim Furey showed but couldn’t start because of higher priority.  3 other riders (Dan, Tina, and John) met us out on the road.  It was nice to see so many riders already in good shape.  It keeps us hopeful.  I wish that I was riding a Scott bike so I could have been out there with Pete and Frank G.  😉

Weather Conditions

The winds weren’t as strong but on the way back from it started to feel a little cold for a few minutes. Overall, it felt like a spring day.  I think it was good that we didn’t have time to do the entire route.  I think we would have gotten wet.  Where I was, it started to sprinkle at around 4:50.
