Jeff keeping it moving at 3 miles an hour

Some of us decided to skip school to get some Good Friday training miles in. NO!  This is not to be confused with a secret training camp.  😉  The route was really nice and quiet.

About 1 mile from the lunch break, Jeff C. broke a spoke as we were climbing into town. As we were soft peddling, he ended up with a flat about a minute later.  We had to move at a walking pace for about 20 minutes.  (Check out the video following this report.)  Luckily, the Ride On (Wooster) bike shop was also only a mile away.  They took care of us right away and while they were working on it, we walked over to The Spoon to get some lunch.

After lunch we decided to take the hard route home which included climbing up Mechanicsburg and down into the valley and for no good reason climbing right back up Cedar Valley. What a tough start on a full stomach.  It was so nice to be on the road though.

  1. Didn’t the same thing happen to Jeff last time he rode except for the chain? Bad Luck
