Saturday

The weather was borderline, meaning that if it was 1 degree cooler it would have been cold. The winds were coming out of the north were chilly but it didn’t bother us too much on this course because it was a course that had lots of shelter from the winds.

I had a few “gastro delays” that threw us off schedule a little but no one seemed to be in a hurry to leave the rest stops. I think we would have been more motivated if the weather was pleasant.  The course was a really good one.  So much so, we are going to try to repeat it again this week.  There was lots of quiet roads and lots of pretty scenery. We had a good group and some of the riders were energized by some energy bites that were called “Jerry’s Nips”.  Don’t ask me.  I don’t know what they had over there.  They seemed to work because they finished strong.

By the way, there was a lighthearted report written about this ride earlier this week.  Check it out.

According to Bob, it looks like they had a pleasant ride. At the Bedford Reservation, Bob moved on alone.  He was to run into James in Chagrin Falls but they missed each other.  Bob and James, both wanted to do this course because of their remembering of how nice it was.
