It saddens me to post something like this.

John Clay passed away unexpectedly last Wednesday if you didn’t hear already.

First and foremost, I want to say that John was a great human being. There are so many things to be said about that but I’ll just stick to cycling for now.

He was one of the people who really encourage many riders and encouraged many riders to try long-distance cycling. When John joined the LDCC group, the participation exploded shortly after.

Lastly, there are two things that are certain, as it relates to John.

1) If you ever met the man, you will say, ”He was very nice”. He had a way of making everyone feel special.

2) If you knew John, you would say or would have said, ”I was just thinking about him the other day”.

We will definitely be hearing his voice and words of encouragement as we go through our everyday lives and as we are out there on the road.

The details for his services was just sent out and I will post them in a few minutes.
